We are recruiting a Site Director to lead and motivate a multi-discipline team to meet challenging targets on behalf of a growing food manufacturer with a large presence on the shelves of most major retailers. JOB PURPOSE: • To drive and develop direct reports to build and lead a cohesive site of 500+ staff to deliver challenging business objectives. • To formulate and deliver the site operations strategic plan enabling delivery of the overall business plan. Identifying and delivering opportunities for increasing profitability, efficiency, yield, labour utilisation whilst minimising waste and costs. • To manage site budget. • To drive CI across the site, developing collaborative relationships inter-departmentally to increase capabilities and embed CI strategy. • To maintain and develop business relationships with customers and suppliers. • To lead change initiatives, gaining buy-in of all affected to maximise business capability. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: A degree qualified (or equivalent) candidate with at least 8 years (recent) experience in a similar capacity within high volume food manufacturing who has: • Senior management experience ideally within a blue chip manufacturing environment leading teams of 500+. • Led a flagship site or led a site through the transition to achieve flagship status. • A strong track record of budgetary control. • Change management experience. • Hands-on experience implementing CI initiatives and strategies. • Manufactured branded goods and understands the requirements and constraints. • Experience of developing and delivering strategic plans. • Ability to build effective working relationships, internally and externally, at all levels; demonstrating strength in communicating well through a wide range of media, successfully negotiating and influencing to achieve objectives. • Sound working knowledge of engineering and experience of implementing large scale automation initiatives. • Capital investment project management experience.
